Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development
This
activity reminds me of how much I have been practicing Piaget's theory without recognize
it. His theory of cognitive development is a valuable and helpful guide to all
teachers. The theory helps us as teachers to assess the current level of
thinking of each learner and to create learning experiences which is suitable to
their level of thinking. When we take each individual learner into account and cater
for their specific needs, we are actually offering to our learners’ quality
learning experiences. This activity also
provides useful information on the processes students use to organize their
thinking and how they adapt to their environment.
